Silage Checkoff
Action by Texas corn producers in a referendum completed January 16, 2006, in compliance with the Texas Commodity Checkoff law, established the statewide checkoff assessment-collection on all corn silage produced in Texas.
$0.037 per ton (based on $0.005 per bushel dry corn kernels, with the factor for corn silage being equal to 7.94 bushels of dry corn kernels per ton corn silage) collections to be made by FIRST HANDLER with monthly deposits to the Texas Corn Producers Board.
